The Wildness of Plants examines how urban vegetation is shaped through pruning, fencing, ordering, containment, and other forms of human intervention. The project uses plants as a lens to explore the tension between control, resistance, and natural growth within the city.
These observations were translated into a bilingual editorial system combining halftone photography, abstract line drawings, typographic sequencing, and a restrained black, dark-green, and red visual palette. The final outcome is a 60-page spiral-bound publication that moves between documentary evidence, graphic abstraction, and editorial narrative.

The spreads move from ordered, controlled compositions to increasingly dense and unruly visual forms, reflecting the project’s shift from regulation to spatial and ecological resistance.
